Issues #17 and #20 fixed in all metrics other than threads.py.

For threads.py I've added a comment showing how I think it should work for checking, I've no traces to test if this is correct. Also

• fixed issue #16
• added a multiplicative MPI metric
• corrected the additive MPI serialisation efficiency
