GOVERNANCE MODEL AND DECISION MAKING PROCESS
The governance model of QuTiP is meritocratic in nature,since decisions are made by members that demonstrate expertise and make significant contributions to the project. The governance structure contains a core development team with a write access to the QuTiP code repository,is responsible for maintaining and improving the software. This team is responsible for decision-making on the direction of the project, addition of new features and bug fixing.
The core development team vote on Major decisions concerning the project, e.g. changes to the governance model or addition of new developers . Input from the community is also sought and implemented.
The QuTiP community also includes a other group of contributors who submit bug reports, feature requests, and code contributions. The community is encouraged to participate in discussions about the direction of the project and to provide feedback on proposed changes.
Overall, the QuTiP governance model is designed to promote transparency, inclusivity, and collaboration, and to ensure that the project is developed in a way that is responsive to the needs of the community.
