Zaar zine from yesterday's session! PXL_20240906_163117581 MP

Open source has exciting stories worth telling- how APIs are adopted, how a 2.0 release affects downstream projects and the passion that drives all this.

But it can be difficult to tell these stories. We may not be used to telling our stories, and the intricacies of open source development may be difficult to explain to a more generalist audience.

As shared in my Lightning Talk, my approach is to tell our stories through comics. The "How to Contribute To NumPy" comics follows riveting story of three grad students as they learn not only how to use NumPy in their research, but also the emotional ups and downs!
