Oh man, it looks like the last nightly build to succeed on main was January 17th (deploys/65a79c6f9a), every build since (starting with deploys/65a8edf14c) has been failing with this same error.

And of course the build works fine locally using sass-embedded (1.71.1-arm64-darwin) 🫠

Ok, at least now the build is failing in code that I wrote myself, but the differing behaviour by platform (and overall rate of bit rot) is making me miss my old engine… this is a silly problem for a static site generator to have!
