Aargh, even more. Thanks for reporting.
@asqwerth I am going to start designing MX related icons for Numix. Do you think I should make entirely new icons from scratch or should I symlink them?
@creepertron95 @palob Thanks for the interest!
Since Numix is not the default icon set for MX Linux, I don't wish to put restrictions on the creativity and discretion of icon artists. I would think that symlinking for most of the icons is fine.
However, I would make 1 request: that the main MX-Tools icon still contain a representation of the MX pyramids with the crossed spanner+hammer. If it's symlinked to a generic "tools/settings" icon, MX-Tools tends to get lost/confused with the general settings manager of whatever distro/desktop environment is in use.
This will be similar to what creepertron did in Papirus, and what the Newaita and Zafiro creators did, ie they put their own slant on the MX-Tools icon.
On the other hand, if you wish to create any mx icon from scratch or take inspiration from the look of any other mx-app to create a Numix-style version of the original icon, please be our guest. :-)

Most of them, if not all, can be implemented as symlinks.
