Icons in newer versions are very dull #158

Just upgraded to Ubuntu 24.04 and Numix Circle icons were updated from 0~20211031-1 to 0~20231202-1. The first thing I noticed icons like folders are now very dull life-less.

Why was this done and is there a chance to get more saturated icons again?

Here is the same icon from old and new version:

Yes, this was done on purpose to get the folder icons more in line with the toned-down app icons (Circle/Square). You can however freely adjust your folder icons using numix-folders. You'll have to manually reapply after updates of Numix base. In order to get the exact old folder style choose style 6 and don't give any colour option, just hit enter.
