Missing icons from HighContrast #827

Open bilelmoussaoui opened 9 years ago

bilelmoussaoui commented 9 years ago

Those are the missing icons from HightContrast, they look really ugly with Numix!

andia89 commented 9 years ago

Ok I get Humanity but I think it makes actually no sense to support all icons from highcontrast since it is a fallback Theme...

palob commented 9 years ago

@bil-elmoussaoui Maybe you could remove the ones already on the Adwaita list.

bilelmoussaoui commented 9 years ago

@palob done @wa4557 well, a lot of those icons can be just symlinks to other icons..

dirtydancing commented 9 years ago

Are we talking about HighContrast or hicolor here? HighContrast is not a fallback icon theme afaik.

bilelmoussaoui commented 9 years ago

@dirtydancing I'm talking about HighContrast, some of those icons are still used in Ubuntu Gnome! You can see that in Settings -> Online Accounts -> Add a IMAP and SMTP email adresse or just use Empathy and two ugly icons will be used!

dirtydancing commented 9 years ago

I see, did not know that! Screenshot:

Whatever it is, it is incredibly badly designed.

bilelmoussaoui commented 8 years ago

abrt-gui should be symlinked to abrt in Numix Circle?

Foggalong commented 8 years ago

Good catch, yeah it should be. Added it in :)

Foggalong commented 8 years ago

Based on the naming conventions, won't applications-blender be a category icon rather than a mimetype? I'm not sure what (other than Blender) goes in that category though

bilelmoussaoui commented 8 years ago

Thanks :) I took a look at the pre-installed themes and the only theme that has applications-blenderis HighContrast. I think this icon is not being used anymore

andia89 commented 8 years ago

We might need some kind of rule which icons that are also present in circle should be added to the base theme. For preferences- icons it makes sense (cf. #442) also for applications- there are a lot of those icons in categories but I'm unsure if it makes sense there...
