Welcome to CS2103/T! #1

Dear Students,

A very warm welcome to CS2103/T! The first lecture will take place on Fri, 18 Apr, 2pm in iCUBE Auditorium (I3-AUD). The lecture slides will be published after the lecture.

Tutorials start in week 2. Please attend your pre-allocated tutorial slot (for CS2103T students), or any other tutorial slot (for CS2103 students) for week 2. Starting from week 3 when the project teams are formed, it is mandatory to attend your allocated tutorial slot.

The module website is: https://www.comp.nus.edu.sg/~cs2103. This website is the prime source of information, both subject matter and deliverables.

A few things to note:

whats the difference between CS2103T and CS2103. I am also an exchange student. I am not sure how to register for tutorials.

@PhilipPhil I am not an exchange student. I am not sure if this is the answer you are looking for:

Admin Appendix C (FAQs) → What are the differences between the T and the non-T version of the module?

What are the differences between the T and the non-T version of the module? Same lectures, same exam. Separate tutorials, separate project grading. Unless specified otherwise, whatever is stated for one module applies to the other. (Source: CS2103T Github website Week 1 Admin Information Appendix C frequently asked questions)

For tutorial registration (I am not sure about the date you can register but this is the information also on the website same page it is just the frequently asked question above the one I stated above)

Admin Tutorials [Exchange Students: Tutorial Registration]

[Exchange students only] Registering for tutorials:

Exchange students need to use the ORATUT system to register for the tutorials. You must have received the instructions from UG office on how/when to go about the registration process. If not, please talk to UG office. When we can see your appeal on ORATUT, we can allocate you to the tutorial slot.

I hope this information might help you though if you need more information I think the module coordinator will have more information.

Hi @PhilipPhil and all!

Exchange students are registered to CS2103.

A small correction that we made to the differences between CS2103 and CS2103T:

Same lectures, same exam, same grading. Separate tutorials (teams should contain students from the same module). Unless specified otherwise, whatever is stated for one module applies to the other.

Note: "Separate project grading" is not applicable.
