Hello, may i know if anyone faced the same problem as me when i tried to run checkstyle on intellij? one day it just stopped working.

Even starting follow the developer guide to troubleshoot, it still does not work at all.

I have taken a look at your repo and you have this branch patch-1.

Are you working off this branch? There are some changes to the checkstyle.xml.

I am able to reproduce your error when I set the Checkstyle version to 8.2. Please ensure that it is 8.1 for the project.
