What if the team decides to assume collective responsibility for the bug? #91

Under the CS2103T guidelines it is stated that:

Decide who should fix the bug. Use the Assignees field to assign the issue to that person(s). There is no need to actually fix the bug though. It's simply an indication/acceptance of responsibility. If there is no assignee, we will distribute the penalty for that bug (if any) among all team members.

In the case that the team decides to assume collective responsibility for the bug, is the penalty distributed equally amongst the assignees? This would happen when all team members have been assigned to the bug.

Appreciate the clarification.

Hi,

Yes, the penalty will be equally distributed among team members.

Best regards, Cristina.

Sorry, just to check, does this mean that the penalty is divided by 4 or 5, or do we get the same penalty as if only one person was assigned?

Hi,

The penalty is divided to 4 if there are 4 people in a team, or to 5 if there are 5 people in a team. Best regards, Cristina.
