Contact number required for adding a person

Since this is in the context of Singapore specifically, it would have been better if contact numbers abide by the rules in Singapore because in this way anybody can just enter a fictitious or non-existent number and that defeats the purpose of your app

True but if the user wanted to lie about his number, he can generate a legit number that is not his. Theres no way for us to validate the users number without the following options 1) asking the service provider for authentication 2) using phone number authentication (out of scope for this project)

We would accept this issue as a feature improvement to implement a first layer guard against invalid phone numbers, but would down grade this issue to low.
