Hi there.
We apologise for the ambiguity.
What we mean by "do not provide the date, or if its Prefix does not have a value" is:
if the entered command is "report d/" (instead of simply "report"), the App will accept it as a valid input and attempt to generate a report, taking today's date as default. We have double-checked and "report d/" works as expected.
We understand that the use of "or" in a Computer Science perspective means two different expressions but when we used "or" in the UG we were referring to the same thing, which is "report d/". We wanted to be clearer for the user and hence specified that "do not provide the date" means "Prefix does not have a value", although there could be a clearer way to put that message across.
Cheers!
Bug type: DocumentationBug because of the english phrasing in the UG. Severity Low: Because it does not affect the main use case of using "report d/DATE". Functionality is largely unaffected.
