Quiz 9 - Is a merge node necessary? #492

In this question (quiz 9 part 1), I picked False because of the absence of a merge node in the alternate paths. The answer given was correct.

Would like to clarify if merge nodes are optional.

According to #440 and #306, apparently merge nodes aren't compulsory.
