Hi. My tutor said that we have a grace period of 1 week before our iP submissions become officially late. Is that true?

Tutors are not supposed to answer questions about (or comment on) admin matters 😠 You did the right thing by asking it here 👍

Answer: iP deliverables are considered late/overdue immediately after the deadline. However, we usually don't penalize if you catch up soon. How soon? case-by-case.

To add:

iP/tP intermediate deadlines are there for you to help track your own progress. It's ideal if you meet all of them, but should you fail to meet some, the next best thing is to catch up soon. As the main aim is to learn, we will not penalize every time you miss a deadline. But on the other hand, one of those things you are trying to learn in this module is how to deliver on deadlines, as that is very important for SE projects. So, aim to deliver on the given deadlines (rather than not care about them because missing deadlines is not usually penalized). But don't panic if you miss a deadline or the dashboard failed to capture a deliverable because you made a mistake somewhere. Just try to rectify or catch up as soon as possible. In most cases, this can be done within a span of 1-3 days. If you need a longer time to catch up, you can contact me.
