Compulsory field: tg/ #1789

A person cannot be added with no tg/ flag. Should all CS2103T/CS2101 students use Telegram? As a user, if I want to add a person who does not have Telegram username, what should I do?

Team's Response

Although it is not a hard and fast rule that all CS2103T students are to have a Telegram account, I think that the widespread use of it is enough to justify a Telegram username as a necessary field. For example, modules like CS1101S use Telegram as a backup platform for exams, and many other modules also use it as a form of communication for general information. Therefore, the fact that it is very rare that a person does not have a Telegram in CS2103T, therefore warrants the need for it to be a necessary field.
