"mv" command error message is inaccurate

It is not stated in the UG what characters are accepted as names (alphanumeric, ... etc.)

So as a user, if I want to rename my folder from test2 to |test3|, instead of getting an error message that the folder name is invalid, the error message displayed is unhelpful in telling me what is wrong.
