Based on the nature of the application, it is not appropriate as a design nor feature to put a limit on how far ahead the user can schedule the interview as this is subjective. Hence, the team has rejected this as a bug as the tester's suggestion would be a suboptimal design that would limit the behaviour of the app unecessarily from user to user at this iteration. Further, the crux of the app is to serve as a reminder for the user on what interviews scheduled are upcoming, hence, it would not make sense for the justification to be based upon the fact that the user may forget that the interviews exist.
At best, we can consider this suggestion as not in scope (at the moment this is not a consideration or limitation of our application at v1.4 - the feature is not implemented and would not cause any failure to the app behaviour).
As viewed from the screenshot below, the team believes the justification provided by the tester on forgetting the interview is not convincing and hence the team has decided to reject this issue:
Hope this clarifies!

Users will be able to schedule an interview very far out into the future. Perhaps team should look into only limiting interviews maximum 6 months out? Otherwise users may forget the interviews exist or may be alerted if their user types a date that is too far out, so the interview schedules are only kept to within the academic year.
