An issue along the same lines would be a typo of adding a doctor with the same name and specialization but with a small typo in the NRIC. The system would allow that leading to potential issues for the clinical receptionist.

The uniqueness of a doctor is defined by its NRIC, as per our UG/DG. This does not stray away from that intended behaviour.

So this is not a functionality bug as per the course's website. Tester can refer to:

While we agree that your point is valid, this is not a bug as if two doctors have very similar NRIC we need to be able to add them both into the system.

Furthermore when the doctor is added into the system, the system reads back the full NRIC added in, that is when the user can double check and ensure that the NRIC entered is correct.
