Occasional inconvenience in updating drug allergies #3563

Suppose I have a patient that I know to have allergies to Paracetamol and Penicillin, and i record it as such. So the app stores the information as "Paracetamol | Penicillin".

If one day that patient suddenly reveals that he has an allergy to a new drug, then the user has to retype in the previous allergies' string, and append the new allergy. This can be inconvenient if vulnerable patients with many allergies are taken into consideration.

Of course, such occurrences are unlikely, but the hassle persists if they do occur.

Team's Response

This is indeed something that should have been considered in the design of drug allergy. Hence Accepted.
