Difficult to add tags #4461

Feature Flaw Description

Adding tags requires using the edit command. As given in this tip:

This seems convoluted. It would be much simpler to have a separate tag command for cumulative addition of tags. It also seems reasonably important since a TA/Prof might have to add tags to the same student (Tag once for course enrollment, second time for tutorial number / in class assigned group number)

Severity

severity.Medium : A flaw that causes occasional inconvenience to some users, but they can continue to use the product.

Not a purely cosmetic issue in docs or UI, so cannot be VeryLow. Medium because the workaround is rather inconvenient (need to type in ALL existing tags again, imagine doing this for all students in a class!).

Thank you for your report,

Given that the user has been specified to be a fast typer, he this should not be much of an inconvenience to add their tags. Even so, the UG specifies that the tags are not cumulative. Given that rectifying the behaviour would be less important based on effort compared to the work done already, and that it is mentioned in the UG, we believe that this issue is not in scope based on the website's definition image.png
