Thank you for your detailed feedback! We acknowledge that this issue exists in the app's current version due to limitations with duplicate detection for persons and, this may be addressed in Planned Enhancement 2: Case-Insensitive Duplicate Detection for Person, where persons with identical names will be flagged as potential duplicates, and users will be prompted to confirm or discard the entries.
In the meantime, users can adopt the following workarounds:
filterTxn
command to locate transactions associated with the intended contact.Given these workarounds, we feel that this issue does not render the app unusable. As such:
We will label this issue with severity.Medium
, as it represents a flaw causing occasional inconvenience to some users but allows continued use of the product.
We will mark this issue as response.NotInScope
as fixing it is less important than the work done in the current version of the product and we have related planned enhancements to address such issues.

If the two friend who has the same name (though different contact number) owes you money, it is not very possible to distinguish the transactions under the 'listTxn' feature, which should by right provide a quick and useful overview of the transactions, perhaps remarks could be included to help differentiate.
