Setting of regedit is confusing and dangerous for users #1523

Team's Response

We have no Control over Microsoft and we have no way to tell Microsoft to make registry settings not "dangerous" or "hard". We also have no power to tell Microsoft "please bring back ANSI encoding to cmd.exe".

However, we provided enough alternative options so that you can test the thing easier without going through the registry settings. Screenshots of the UG:

In conclusion, this issue has two parts:

for the Dangerous part, it is out of scope.

for the hard to test part, we have plain text UI which is very easy to test, so the statement does not hold.

As much as we would like to reject it, we do understand that this will be the concern of some users. Therefore we categorize it under "NotInScope".
