Additional spaces in specification of item quantity are rejected

Addition of spaces in front or behind valid integer values are considered invalid inputs by users.

To reproduce:

1. Run update beef
2. Specify the amount of beef left as 2
3. Specify the amount of beef left as 2

This issue has been accepted.

However, the severity has been downgraded to low as:

• Most users would not type spaces before and after the quantity they want to add as it is unnecessary work.
