Dear tester,
As mentioned in the UG(linked below), the application's target users are students with an interest in mananging their personal finance. It is highly unlikely that a student will have a monthly income amounting to more than the limit set ($40,000). However, we do understand that it is possible for some students to have a limit exceeding that amount. If you have a monthly income exceeding that amount and are a student, let the dev team know and we will happily edit the limit.
You may also refer to the notes section of "Add a credit card" in UG for further elaboration on how we arrived at $40,000 https://ay2122s2-cs2113t-t10-4.github.io/tp/UserGuide.html#add-a-credit-card-add

At least in the context of singapore there are many working adults (or crazy rich asians) that can easily spend more than $40000 in one shot. Given that the UG said it's for personal finances for the general user, some high spending users may not find this limit useable.
