Purpose of budget

What does setting of budget accomplish? I added an outflow of more than the budget, and there seems to be no error reported.

Team's Response

Currently, budget is used to let the user have an idea of the amount of money they can spend. However, if they can spend more than the budget as it is not a hard limit.

As of now, budget is used for a quick report when the user first launches the app, as shown in the screenshot below. In future versions, budget will be a more fleshed out feature.
