PUNCH: Who here believes that one day, we will be made obsolete by AI? I used to believe that this was nothing of concern, especially when it was still hallucinating answers to simple math problems. There is no way it can tackle the complex and nuanced work of software engineering.

WIIFY: How to thrive in a world with ChatGPT (or generative AI)

For those of us waiting to graduate into this terrible job market, I hope this presentation will convince you of a different narrative. It is not about AI replacing us, it is about AI empowering us to reach new heights of creativity and productivity.

Agenda:

  1. Discuss why people still believe AI is a toy
  2. Show examples of how AI can be used
  3. Embrace AI to stay relevant

  1. AI is good now
  2. How can we use AI as software engineers
  3. AI will not replace our jobs, it is people who use AI that will

Call to Action/big idea: We must embrace AI to stay relevant (pay for ChatGPT4.0)
