yes. there is--sorry about this as I just put there for testing and did not care about loading and stuff.
option 1: using this (I read something about this kind of loading, especially for service charging provider like GAE, this will not only speed up loading for users -- assuming that other websites are using the same hosting and it is cached in user's comp but also save money -- the loading is not from our server but from google)
personally i suggest this way i suggest we change jquery loading to be the same way. (do not worry about dependency that much -- google is pretty stable LOL)
option 2: download this minified file and use it

The Calendar Popup is very small and it prevents user from typing in the date which is sometimes a lot faster and much more easy.
Suggestion:
Use jQuery UI http://jqueryui.com/datepicker/#icon-trigger click on the icon to show the calendar that auto restricts the date range
and it will allow user input
