Adding a product without any specified expiry date will be listed as 'not specified'. However, after adding that product, users are not able to edit any parts of the product unless they provide an expiry date. It will be good to allow users an option to edit a product even if they do not know the product's expiry date, which was why they did not specify when it was added and listed as 'not specified' in the list.

Team's Response

If you do not want to update the expiry date, there is no need to use the -e parameter. It is optional, not compulsory. This has already been specified in UG.

In Cube, you do not need to know expiry date to edit a product. you can update any parameters you want if you know the food name or index

We can update by parts. There is no need to type in all parameters for updating. The parameters are optional. This has already been specified in UG.
