From George Wheeler:

I've attached the data for both networks. A couple of notes:

1.) Woody biomass (all Artemisia filifolia at this site) is calculated using the same allometric method as last year, with the formula New Biomass(g) = -1.97Cover(%) + 0.224Height(cm) + 0.0694Cover*Height. I think this method, calibrated based on new biomass (sorted from old) of individuals destructively sampled outside the plots, likely reflects productivity better than year to year differences in total biomass.

2.) I discovered that what we in the past called Bromus tectorum included two similar species, Bromus tectorum and Bromus japonicus. While Dr. Knops verified that only B. tectorum was present in the first sampling year, the two species now have similar abundance in the NutNet plots. In the NutNet data, I am continuing to lump these together in the cover data as a Bromus tectorum category, as I have no way to distinguish them in past data. However, I do also have data separating the species, if it's needed for any studies that don't incorporate older data. In the NPKD plots, I only observed Bromus japonicus, I think this was very likely the case in 2019 as well, so I've converted all the entries in the NPKD data set to B. japonicus and will add B. tectorum if it appears in any future years.
