Hey all, this Ukrainian translation was started last November and was just recently completed. The translator is able to review on TestFlight once that's ready. Let me know if there's anything else I can do. Thank you.

@salitrov Languages/Ukranian has been added to the language set.

The Ukranian 2024.05.31 app and store spreadsheet have completed the initial processing. The updated spreadsheets can be found here:

The translation lines listed below need to be to be translated. These are items which were changed or added relative to the base spreadsheet that the translation effort used. The lines which need translation updates can be found by the provided key_apple or key_droid words.

@salitrov Links for the processed spreadsheets are listed below. These will be next migrated into the Android and Apple applications for beta test releases.

@salitrov When migrating the Ukrainian translation into the applications, a number of lines were found to be missing in Ukranian_ua.store - Ukranian_ua.store.txt file.

The missing lines have been added to the file Ukranian_uk.app.v05.tsv:

Below is a list of the lines which need be translated:

Thanks Marc. I'm confused as to why these missing lines weren't included in the last update. I will send them in for translating.

@salitrov The links spreadsheet links below have now been updated with the 2024.07.08 submission.

I'm confused as to why these missing lines weren't included in the last update.

Short answer: I kept thinking of the Ukrainian translation (as a new submission) had started with the current English reference version … in which case rows would not to be missing.

Long answer: There are four stages where missing lines can be found. The prior review did not catch some missing rows when I ran only "Stage 2" without expressly checking for additional missing lines.

Stage 1. Initial spreadsheet provided the translators. Check if the translation spreadsheet has the same row count at the English reference spreadsheet. The reference spreadsheets are published in the English_US/tsv. You and/or the translaters can review & double check the English (en-US) reference sheets. Go with the highest version number which at this time is v05:

Stage 2: daily-dozen-localization intake processing & normalization. The does a general integrity check. This stage can catch more missing rows if I'm aware to do some additional checks.

Stage 3: daily-dozen-ios migration & merge. Changes are reviewed as merged. This where items missed in stage 2 relative to the iOS app are found.

Stage 4: daily-dozen-android migration & merge. Changes are reviewed as merged. This where items missed in stage 2 or 3 relative to the Android app are found.

So, in the end, the process is thorough and the missing lines were found.

Another detail is that the Ukrainian two letter language code is uk in contrast to the Ukraine two letter country code which is ua.

Since translations are added primarily as a language localization, the language uk code is used on the Ukrainian tsv spreadsheet files in the repository.

(A regional code is only added as a secondary dialect modifer if needed in cases such as Brazil pt-BR vs Portugal pt-PT dialects of Portuguese.)

Thank you for your feedback. My mistake on the file name/language code.

Hey @marc-medley, uploading the latest translation revision here post-review. That should take care of it and no further review should be necessary for Ukrainian. Let me know if there's anything else I can do. Thank you for processing. Ukranian_uk.app.v05 - Ukranian_ua.app.txt

Daily Dozen v3.5.1 passed the Apple App Store review and is now in general global distribution. The Ukrainian translation update from yesterday (2024.08.22) is included.
