Post format

To create a workflow and readflow (?) that is as relaxing as possible, while still maximizing interaction, a certain format should be introduced. My ideas below:

Post writing

Abstract

• Been there
• Done that
• Met who

  Full post

• Unlimited characters?
• Plain text or full editor?
  • Markdown support?
• [future] Improvement suggestions

Mailings

One of the options for users to digest their nutshell feed would be via email. The user can choose the frequency somewhere between instant and weekly/monthly.

• Abstract only
  • User filters?
  • Perhaps not desired, as this would encourage massive networks. Networks should consist only of people you want to hear about.

Abstracts with expand/read button that folds the post open

For the MVP I had been working under the following assumptions:

• A nutshell consists out of a number of title <-> paragraph pairs
• Every nutshell is presented as a card with the titles that are collapsed, only showing the text below when the title is clicked accordeon style
• Every title is max 10 words (ish)
• Every paragraph is max X words, not twitter-short but not arbitrary

Re:reading I had assumed a reddit sync style stream (see attached). Where you can swipe a card left/right to mark read or snooze for x days a la gmail.

I like your MVP assumptions. Makes it easier for the user if he/she/it doesn't have to write their own abstract. I also like your reading stream, although we should take care that it's not too busy. I consider your example slightly on the busy side.
