Masterpassword ?! #71

Every time a newly created user logs into syspass the first time, he/she will be asked for the master password.

Two question regarding this:

Hi,

this is a normal behaviour. Master password is needed to encrypt database data. This password is requested every time the user changes its password or is changed itself.

Thank you for that quick reply - you can close this issue. I have not yet tested everthing, e.g. LDAP, so I guess there are maybe more issues and/or questions to come.

Another offtopic comments: Do you need help translating syspass to German? Having experience with translating and proofreading (helped to translate and proofread a whole ticket system - took about 4 weeks initially and was fun) and if you like I can help. Only thing is that I can NOT speak/read spanish, so everything that needs to be translated should be available in english.

Finally noticed your DokuWiki :D (shame on me) and just a tip there: Have a look at the plugin called "Indexmenu" and useful especially when you have not much pages, so that the users who access the wiki can easily see the structure and don't miss any info since they are sometimes/often to lazy to use search and just click on the pages shown at the main page or use the wrong search string, e.g. "Active Directory" instead of "LDAP" and a lot of our users been really happy that they now can easily navigate thru the wiki without the search. Sure...bugs are there ;)

sysPass is already translated to German, but there are some strings that have been updated and not yet translated, so Yes, it would be helpful if you translate it :)

About DokuWiki, you are right, it would be nice to provide an index page to quickly search for any configuration topic. Let me do some reasearch about enabling it, because there is another plugin activated that can interfere on its behaviour (language detection).

Just need to know where I can start for translation. Do you use any web-translation service like crowdin.com, poeditor.com or just the file that can be edited e.g. with notepad++ or so.

Would be great if you can give me some more info on how to get started with translation ;)

Good news...pages index enabled at wiki

About translation, no platform is used to do it, so my only tool to do it is poedit. You can take the .po file from https://github.com/nuxsmin/sysPass/blob/v1.1/inc/locales/de_DE/LC_MESSAGES/messages.po where strings in english have been put as comments.
