Escape brackets in URL #119

Hi all, I am trying to perform redirection with url containing brackets, to without containing brackets but without luck. Can somebody tell me how to successfully perform redirection?

/category/tools-and-equipment/safety-equipment-(ppe)

to

/category/tools-equipment/safety-equipment-ppe
