LibreOffice: Footnote numbers not read in footnote section

When navigating the footnote section of LibreOfice writer, the number of the current footnote is not reported.

Describe the solution you'd like

The footnote should be read in the same way as the numbering in numbered lists is read.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Tried using review cursor and object navigation without success.

Additional context

Tried with Libre Office 6.1.3, 6.2.5 and 6.3.0 Using NVDA 2019.2 rc1 and 2019.1.1

@Qchristensen: Exactly this issue here should be based on the bug report draft, because it's a bug. Furthermore you already added all necessary information, but the listing/structure for them is better in the bug report draft than in the feature request draft. Personally I'm really not a huge fan of the feature request draft – but you already know this.

hi Quentin. in libreoffice, which many versions that support windows xp and i tested, i cant navigate between footnotes. if i could, i cant return to the original content of file which i was studied!

Still reproducible with NVDA 2024.4.1 in LO 25.2. I attached a test document, I did following:

Created two footnotes
Assigned ctrl+. and ctrl+, in LO keyboard configuration to move between next and previous footnotes within the text
Press ctrl+. or ctrl+, to move between footnotes
Press ctrl+shift+e to move into the footnotes area
Press up and down arrow to navigate between footnes text.

Actual:

In step 3, NVDA is silent but the system caret moves.
In Step 4, NVDA is silent but the focus moves to the footnotes area
In step 5, NVDA reads "footnote" and the coresponding text without footnote number. The same applies for endnotes.

Expected behavior:

In step 3, NVDA should report the footnote / endnote number (e.g. footnote 1, footnote 2 etc. when navigating between them)
In step 4, NVDA should report something like "footnote area", the same applies for endnote area, header area, footer area, main document area etc. when pressing ctrl+shift+e, or ctrl+page up and ctrl+page down to switch between document areas.
In step 5, NVDA should repot the footnote number as well when switching between content of the footnotes (e.g. footnote 1, footnote 2 etc.).

cc: @michaelweghorn should we create a bug in LO bug tracker for this? Or is it something that can be fixed in the SOffice app module?
