NVDA speech is not cancelling on dynamic focus change #11840

Steps to reproduce:

Open link and press 'do focus changes button'

Actual behavior:

Speech should be cancelled/interrupted on focus change.

Expected behavior:

Speech is not cancelled/interrupted on focus change.

System configuration

NVDA installed/portable/running from source: NVDA version 2020.3

NVDA version: NVDA version 2020.3

Windows version: Windows 10

Name and version of other software in use when reproducing the issue:

Other information about your system: Dell Inspiron 8GB RAM, Integrated graphics, 1TB HDD

Other questions

Does the issue still occur after restarting your computer? Yes

Have you tried any other versions of NVDA? If so, please report their behaviors.

If addons are disabled, is your problem still occuring? No

Did you try to run the COM registry fixing tool in NVDA menu / tools? Yes

I agree this should be investigated, actually in this case, when pressing the do focus change button, it kind of simulates a press and hold down of a shift+tab key. in this case, the focus changes very fast from one element to the other, but NVDA still pronounces the whole focused element without considering the speed of focus movement which contradicts the actual press and hold behavior.
