The link is read by NVDA after of alt in image links. #12521

Steps to reproduce:

Go to this dummy portfolio
Scroll to right and hover over the photos.

Actual behavior:

Starts reading the complete link (like - 'h' 't' 't' 'p' etc.) after reading the alt of the image.

Expected behavior:

Should only read either alt or the aria label

System configuration

Windows 10

NVDA installed/portable/running from source:

Bug exists on both running from source and installed version

NVDA version:

2020.4

Windows version:

Windows 10

Name and version of other software in use when reproducing the issue:

Firefox developer edition version 90.0b3 (64-bit), works as intended on chrome and edge.

Does the issue still occur after restarting your computer?

Yes

Have you tried any other versions of NVDA? If so, please report their behaviors.

No

If add-ons are disabled, is your problem still occurring?

No addons are used

Does the issue still occur after you run the COM Registration Fixing Tool in NVDA's tools menu?

Yes

This can also be reproduced when routing the mouse to the project links by pressing nvda+shift+m. @jcsteh I think we had already an issue for this reflecting Firefox but I cannot find it right now. Not sure if we should create a bug on bugzilla for this?
