announcement 99⁺ when locking the PC #17423

Steps to reproduce:

Use a Windows 10 PC and lock it via Win+L

Actual behavior:

Speaking ['99⁺', 'Fenster', CancellableSpeech (still valid)]

Expected behavior:

Any valid information - this could also mean nothing

NVDA logs, crash dumps and other attachments:

A relevant excerpt from a log is attached Prot 2 - - Filtered.txt

System configuration

NVDA installed/portable/running from source:

Installed

NVDA version:

2024.4 RC .. 2024.4.1RC1

Windows version:

W10-64 Pro 22H2 (Build 19045.5131)

Name and version of other software in use when reproducing the issue:

I use Narrator for logon screen and not NVDA

Does the issue still occur after restarting your computer?

Yes, many times in the last 6 Weeks

Have you tried any other versions of NVDA? If so, please report their behaviors.

2024.3 behaves inconspicuously / as desired

If NVDA add-ons are disabled, is your problem still occurring?

Yes

Does the issue still occur after you run the COM Registration Fixing Tool in NVDA's tools menu?

Yes

Same issue here with NVDA 2024.4rc1 (installed), also with Windows 10 22H2.

And same issue with NVDA 2024.1 and 2024.3 (temporary installer version).

Also Narrator reports "9 9 Window"; the "plus" sign is not vocalized with default options.

I suspect a Windows update since this issue did not occur when I had 2024.1 installed some months ago.
