I agree it is better.
A couple quick questions:
Should the definite 'the' be used?
What is "course of a disease"? If that refers to 'disease course', why not make
it explicit? A disease course is a "totality" of processes which realize a
given disease. I assume this means disease courses have parts, so this leads me
to think something like this might be clearer:
A hypothesis about some future part of a disease course.

You might use prediction (http://purl.obolibrary.org/obo/OBI_0302910) - add an
axiom that says it is the specified output of a prediction. (the definition
could use some improvement).
