What are the reasons for using this add-on instead of the visual highlight feature in NVDA?
Because in a PDF file, the built-in NVDA visual highlight feature causes Acrobat to crash.

I recommend reporting the Acrobat issue to NVDA itself. If necessary, I would like to help improve the NVDA's visual highlights.
The "report an issue" link on their website pointed me to the GitHub space -- I think that's where they want feedback. I'll see if there's an email I can use.

When using the arrow keys to move through page content in read/browse mode, the green dashed box that indicates the location of NVDA and the red keyboard focus box both repeatedly blink. Is this a bug or is it by design? Is there a way to turn this off? It can cause seizures in some people and is a very bad accessibility practice (ironically). I'd love to use this add-on but I hate the blinking, and I'm afraid to use it when demonstrating or teaching accessibility because of the seizure risk in my students.
I'm using the most current version of Chrome (119) and NVDA (2023.3) and version 6.6 of Focus Highlight.
