Feature description

Sometimes I share files and I need to highlights some key words like in LibreOffice (like this word is crucial in this topic and other means start of the problem or something to memorize). I know there is HighStr, but I would appreciate native functionality within neorg, especially that with slideshow functionality (presenter mode) something like this would be very functional. Would it be possible to add this to the specification and implement it?

couldn't you just use italic, bold or underline and change the highlights?

I don't want to exchange markup with this option. If I edit italic, bold, underline, strikethrough etc. to be colored, they will show in every document like this. And there are words that I want to bold or be italic without colored background.

what you basically want it just a new kind of markup but idk if this is even possible it would be connected with a huge effort since so many symbols already have a meaning so ig repurposing one of the available ones would be the easiest

This will be possible with attached modifier extensions. I'll also be discussing a null attached modifier specifically for this use case. Not present in Neorg though!
