The former regions of Eastern Tobago and Western Tobago (formerly recognized by ISO 3166-2, anyway, as TT-ETO and TT-WTO) were dropped by ISO 3166-2 and replaced by the ward of Tobago (no division between east and west, with ISO 3166-2 code TT-TOB) on 27 Nov 2015.
At the same time, the ISO 3166-2 code for Mayaro-Rio Claro was changed from TT-RCM (no longer recognized) with TT-MRC.

Three Trinidad and Tobago regions are either slightly misspelled or don't exist as regions. This is minor, but official sources switch the orientation of the names of "Rio Claro/Mayaro," for the name of this region should be "Mayaro/Rio Claro" instead. The regions of "Eastern Tobago" and "Western Tobago" don't seem to exist, for the island is only divided like this for the parliament of this country, not as administrative regions. Instead, Tobago is governed by an assembly, which is different from Trinidad.
