After conducting a search on the NVS P01 to see if anything there fit the (hawks)bill, I believe we will need new measurement entries for these cases:
Straightline length of biological entity specified elsewhere [Subcomponent: plastron]
Over-the-Curve length of biological entity specified elsewhere [Subcomponent: plastron]
Issue
A plastron is a term for the hard structure of the underside of a turtle. It's measured a few ways, but we're interested in capturing straightline plastron length (SPL) here, as described in this lovely illustrated brochure of how to measure turtles, which I am very glad my data provider colleague forwarded along to me!
