@dr-shorthair It looks like I missed this ticket. Sorry. I guess this is mass of fresh material per unit area of the bed? And it is from model prediction/estimate? If this is the case then would it not be equivalent to wet weight biomass? Is this not the quantity that the model is trying to reproduce. Or do you see "Wet weight biomass" as being only applicable to physical samples? I can consult the OBIS vocab group to get their views on the matter.

It's been a while since I filed this, and I can't recall all my thinking. But I think my point was that the more general quantity-type or 'property' is missing from S06. Mass per unit area could apply to many things, not only biomass. But perhaps you don't do hierarchies in S06?

I have started using NAR/BRD relationships in the component vocabs of P01 to help discovery but only if we have to. I will look at your suggestion in the context of other measurements. The problem with broad terms in component vocabs is that they could be used to create a P01 that becomes so vague or ambiguous that it looses its usefulness as an interoperable variable description.

It is mentioned in rows 21, 61, 62, 63 of the table in the eReefs spreadsheet.
