The application responds to the insert key and alters the insert/overtype
behavior correctly, but no visual status indication is available. Usually,
application that enable this functionality will either change the shape of
the editing cursor or display INS/OVR on the statusbar, or both.

Nocs 2.1 will change the caret style based on insert mode.
