hi, i tried to make the code a little bit clearer. I've also added a few useful functions.

Wow thanks a lot. I should really invest some time to learn some proper coding in C. This looks very neat. I just had a very quick glance. I am in a middle of a big project right now, and I will come back to this and review your changes.
