Feature Request?

Any plans to support exchange accounts ? This used to be a feature in nylas N1 before but was taken out from nylas-mail

Have been wanted to use nylas mails with exchange since it got firts released. Would be fantastic to have this feature on this branch if possible.

Unfortunately, that's probably a large feature and we have no current plans to implement this. With that said, we would love to merge in anyone who would like to do the implementation.

It's more of a lack of time/man power than it is a lack of desire as the main contributors currently support this along other projects in their free time.

@seesemichaelj i would love to have a commit as a reference on nylas mail original repo, where this feature was present. If we have that we could know if this development needs to be gigantic or it would be possible. Maybe with much luck it could be merged and tested on this branch.

I couldn't really find one commit for this. The closest is maybe this issue https://github.com/nylas/nylas-mail/pull/109 with corresponding commit about adding custom exchange server field, which seems to be (in newer versions) the main difference from office365 as far as I can tell. In the meantime, most office365 or exchange server also support imap so maybe this can be used by some as well.

this might be a good starting point -
