By the way, such a successful company like Nylas should really invest in localization and hire pro localizers, this will save the product from all kinds of errors. I'm part of the localization team that can do a great job: http://www.indielocalization.com

I can make Portuguese (european) translation! I see this Issue is kinda old... it has already 1 year... is it still trying to be developed or is this a dead feature?

If Nylas decides to go with free translation by volunteers, it would make sense only if they hire some professional reviewers to make it good quality. My colleagues could do such review: http://www.indielocalization.com

Hi, I can help with Italian!
I can help with Italian!
Hey folks! I know this issue has been open for three years, but I'm happy to announce that Nylas Mail's successor, Mailspring, has shipped localization support this week! It's been a month-long effort, but every string in the app is now drawn from translation files.
The important strings in the app ("Thread", "Add an Account", etc.) were professionally translated into 38 languages, and we're looking for folks fluent in other languages to help polish things like settings labels and error messages (which were machine translated using Google Translate's API). You can learn more about how to help out at https://github.com/Foundry376/Mailspring/blob/master/LOCALIZATION.md.
If you haven't tried it out yet, you can grab a copy of Mailspring at https://getmailspring.com/.
Also, the new version also renders the entire interface right-to-left in Hebrew and Arabic, which looks pretty slick! I'm super interested in seeing if any Arabic speakers could help polish language support for RTL. (I followed some best practice blog posts, but I don't speak Arabic and don't know if this is 100% correct.)
Cheers 🎉
