Activity window dies without warning #3322

Are there any related issues?

Not that I have seen.

What operating system are you using?

Mac OS Sierra 10.12.3 (16D32)

What version of Nylas Mail are you using?

1.0.32

Bug?

While running Nylas, the sync engine dies without any kind of warning or notification in the interface. I was wondering why I wasn't seeing new email coming in.

I tried to check in the Activity window to see what was going wrong, and there was no Activity window:

Compare that to when the sync engine is running:

There was no warning that the sync engine wasn't running whatsoever. I checked the application logs, and the developer console, and there was no errors.

A full restart of the app fixes the problem, but this is not normal operation šŸ˜‰

Is the issue related to a specific email provider (Gmail, Exchange, etc.)?

no

Is the issue reproducible with a particular attachment, message, signature, etc?

no, this is a problem related to the app itself.

Does this feature exist in another mail client or tool you use?
