Are there any related issues?

None that I've seen

What operating system are you using?

Windows 8.1

What version of Nylas Mail are you using?

2.0.10

Do you have any third-party plugins installed? If so, which ones?

Only a theme based upon the ui-dark to make fonts smaller.

Is the issue related to a specific email provider (Gmail, Exchange, etc.)?

IMAP is all that I've checked

Is the issue reproducible with a particular attachment, message, signature, etc?

I currently use Postbox as my primary mailer, and I'm trying out Nylas Mail now that it is available on Windows.

In Postbox - to avoid server round-trips, I don't move e-mails to the Trash, I only mark them as deleted on the IMAP server.

Firstly, Nylas Mail doesn't seem to have a similar mode, but worse, it doesn't seem to understand the fact that the e-mail is marked for deletion at all - other mail clients do at least recognize this face and show it that way in the mail client, or hide it. (Hiding is bad, but better than showing it as if it is read but undeleted).

Does this feature exist in another mail client or tool you use?

Yes, Postbox, Thunderbird, Mailbird all see the deleted e-mail as such.
