As far as I can tell, There do not seem to be any other issues discussing this link popup closing pre-maturely

Not related to any provider, this is an editing interface issue.
Yes this issue is reproducible when drafting en email.
Below is a gif showing the bug.
Note: I am not closing the link editing popup - it closes ~1.5 seconds immediately after it is opened, even while typing a link.
